Summer Fun 2014 - Roasting Marshmallows With a Magnifying Glass

Technically, it's more burning, than roasting...

...but it smells fantastic, is a ton of fun...

...and just generally a great way to spend a (properly parentally supervised) summer afternoon.

Oh boy! My 11 yr old already loves burning things with her magnifying glass (properly supervised!), she'll just love this!!

Sam - Just don't forget the sun-screen. I look a little like a roasted marshmallow myself tonight :)

Oh man, this would be dangerous to show my kids, but they really would love it.

What fun! Perhaps this can lead to lesson on carbon!

I would not be patient enough to personally do this, but I think my son would! ;0)

Super! I was just trying to explain to daughter how and why magnifying glass can be used to start a fire. Would be fun to try it on a marshmallow instead!
